    Name
    Theron Hemsell
    Age
    39
    What is your job title?
    Managing Director/ Owner Repatriation Services

    What does your job involve?
The short and long distance transportation of the deceased, first call and hospital transfers.

    Does your job require qualifications?
No, but I have over 11 years of full experience in the funeral profession as a qualified funeral director and I have my blue light advanced driving qualifications. I also have certificates in bereavement counselling.

What is the best thing about the job you do?
Interacting with people from all walks of life. Myself and my team work alongside mortuary staff, coroner`s staff as well as the independent funeral home on a daily basis

What is the worst thing about the job you do?
Nobody likes the phone to ring and to be informed that your next duty is that of a baby or young child but we have a good team that talks things through and we know that at the family`s worst time we have made things that bit easier with the care that we give. We never breeze in and breeze out again we will take the time to talk the family through the processes involved and the care we will provide.

How do people react when you tell them what you do for a living?
The majority seem to have a morbid curiosity and want to know more. As my business isn’t the run of the mill black estate car with black windows we use white vehicles for specific reasons this brings more interest. I was very squeamish at school so the friends I grew up with were a bit shocked when I went into the profession. My girlfriend who was one of my closest friends for many years as always been supportive and when I moved under my own business banner she has provided a massive boost for me to progress and build up more for our future and the business.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I`m a keen guitarist, photographer and thanks to my girlfriend now an avid video gamer .
